Complete List of enCORE Features
NEW - Advanced Analytics (Bone / Body Comp / Full) - Premium Feature
Provides the option for deep BMD and Body Composition insights with custom equations, metrics and ratios based on 200+ DXA bone and body composition parameters. User can define their own classification thresholds, trending results and report outputs.
AFF – Atypical Femur Fracture - Premium Feature
Femur fractures can occur in the subtrochanteric or diaphyseal regions of the femur and may be associated with long term bisphosphonate use. Atypical Femur Fracture (AFF) software uses Femur images to visualize focal reaction or thickening along the lateral cortex of the femoral shaft which may be accompaniedby a transverse radiolucent line. This software provides measurements of the lateral and medial cortex width along the femoral shaft which can be displayed and trended across serial scans. Using these quantitative measures, this software also provides detection of areas of focal thickening of the lateral cortex (beaking index).
AHA - Advanced Hip Assessment (Hip Axis Length)
Provides a measurement of hip axis length (HAL) and a mean value of HAL for Caucasian and Asian females on femur images. It also calculates hip geometry values used to evaluate the structural properties of the hip.
AP Spine
Provides an estimate of bone mineral density for the lumbar spine.
Body Composition – Advanced
This software option offers several features that help with visualizing and reporting body composition data. One of the features is color coding of the image designed to clearly show bone, lean tissue and fat tissue. Also available is the trending of data and key indices such as RMR (Resting Metabolic Rate), RSMI (Relative Skeletal Muscle Index).
Body Composition – Basic
Provides a breakdown of the bone, lean tissue and fat tissue across different regions of the total body. Reference databases including NHANES are available which incorporate several additional body composition indices as well as a large reference populationagainst which you can compare key body composition values.
Canadian FRAX
FRAX 10-Year Fracture Risk provides an estimate of 10-year probability of hip fracture and 10-year probability of a major osteoporotic fracture (clinical spine, forearm, hip, or shoulder fracture) for men and post-menopausal women ages 40-90 years. The FRAX model is endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO).
Composer
Composer reports contain physician-generated assessments and recommendations based on data from the densitometer and the patient’s demographics, which can assist the physician in sending scan results to the patient and the patient’s referring physician. Composer reports can be customized to facilitate communication.
Corescan – Visceral & NEW - Subcutaneous Adipose Tissue Assessment - Premium Feature
The CoreScan software option estimates the volume, mass and area of Visceral Adipose Tissue (VAT) and Subcutaneous Adipose Tissue (SAT - NEW) within the android region. It has been designed for use with a male or female population aged from 18 to 90 with a BMI between 18.5 and 40 (excluding pregnant women).
DICOM
Complete DICOM package with store, worklist, and printing capabilities. Send patient and physician’s reports, or separate bone images to PACS and/or RIS/HIS/CIS.
Dual-energy Vertebral Assessment - DVA
Dual-energy Vertebral Assessment provides both dual- &/or single-energy views of lumbar and thoracic vertebrae in one fast acquisition. Automated analysis reports the type and severity of deformities based on patient height. Both AP & lateral imaging are included.
NEW - DXAVision - Premium Feature
Provides one unified workflow and comprehensive reporting for BMD, AFF, VAT and SAT. Designed to improve operator efficiency with a scan time up to 40% faster for estimated Total Body exams based on results from the neck to knees. Includes Smaller Body Composition ROIs, Total Body Less Head (TBLH) and Neck-to-Knee for Adults.
Femur / Dualfemur
Measures both single femur or both the femurs in one scan, helping you assess the weakest femur through measuring bone mineral density for the proximal femur.
Forearm / Non-Seated Forearm
Measurement and analysis provides an estimate of bone mineral density for the distal forearm with easy and optional patient positioning at the edge of the table top or lying flat on the tabletop.
Hand
Provides measurement and analysis for an estimate of hand bone mineral density.
HL7
The densitometer receives and transmits HL7 information, including importing patient demographics and exporting patient exam results. This solution for electronic medical records closes the loop, completing the integration of the densitometer with existing electronic medical records.
NEW - Integrated TBS - Trabecular Bone Score - Premium Feature
A simple, rapid and reproducible method that estimates fracture risk based on a determination of bone texture (an index correlated to bone microarchitecture), in addition to risks determined by DXA bone mineral density and clinical risk factors. The result is expressed as a Trabecular Bone Score (TBS).
Multi-User Database (1-3) / (1-40)
Allows multiple workstations to access DXA scan files simultaneously. This permits multiple GE bone densitometers to acquire and save scan files to a common database and allows remote analysis and reporting via a network.
OneScan
Allows for both the AP Spine and DualFemur exams in a single acquisition. This eliminates patient repositioning and increases patient throughput.
OneVision
Allows user to set up multiple measurements in one exam. This eliminates keystrokes and improves throughput when measuring multiple sites on each patient.
Orthopedic Hip
Orthopedic Hip measurement and analysis provides an estimate of the bone mineral density around femur implants.
Orthopedic Knee
Orthopedic Knee measurement and analysis provides an estimate of the bone mineral density around knee implants pre and post surgery.
Pediatric
Allows measurement of BMD and softtissue for assessment in children with growth disorders, metabolic diseases, and cachexic disorders, among other conditions. The pediatric software option measures bone mineral content (BMC), bone mineral density (BMD) and body composition (lean body mass and fat mass) in patients from birth to 20 years of age. A comparison is available to reference values for patients 5-19 years of age.
Practice Management Tools
Like an EMR for DXA with tools to query your patient records & automatically generate patient recall letters, obtain statistics, and perform statistical analyses on your patient population.
Quick View
10-second imaging for a rapid assessment of spine and femur skeletal health.
Sarcopenia - Premium Feature
Sarcopenia is a gradual loss of muscle mass and strength associated with aging and is a factor in the occurrence of frailty, falls, and fractures. The Sarcopenia software feature extends the total body user interface so a user can input muscle strength and physical performance data along with DXA Appendicular Lean Mass (ALM).
ScanCheck
Provides a checklist of potential measurement and/or analysis errors.
Smartscan
Exclusive to GE Lunar, Smartscan identifies bone regions after each transverse sweep to determine where to begin exposing the patient on the subsequent sweep. In real time, SmartScan reduces scan time and the dose to the patient.
Small Animal Body
For investigational use on laboratory animals to measure Bone Mineral Content (BMC) and Tissue quantitation (fat and lean) results.
Spine Geometry (iDXA only)
Provides analysis of x-ray image to identify and measure Cobb angles.
NEW - Sports Athletics Package - Premium Feature
Includes TBLH (Total Body Less Head) for Adults and Smaller Body Comp – ROI to easily scan and report on specific Regions of Interest. Facilitates study of localized changes in body composition.
SQL Server Database
SQL Server database format is more robust and can handle larger databases than traditional formats based on Microsoft Access.
TeleDensitometry
Review DXA results from remote locations. Send paperless patient and physician’s reports via fax or e-mail directly from the DXA workstation.
Total Body BMD
Provides overall skeletal assessment at a fraction of the dose of other scan sites.
